Basis for imputation

(1) A nonstatic phenomenon that serves as a basis on which is affixed a noncongruent affecting variable (ldan-min 'du-byed) and which, according to the Sautrantika system, is an objective entity (rang-mtshan). (2) Sometimes used as a general term for a basis for labeling, a basis for designation, and the previous meaning of a basis for imputation.
