Bodhisattva vows

The set of restraints from committing certain actions (eighteen root downfalls and forty-six faulty actions) that, if committed, would be detrimental to achieving enlightenment and benefiting all others. Bodhisattva vows are taken by those who have developed engaged bodhichitta.
