Buddha-family

In tantra, a group of Buddha-figures representing one of five family-traits (Buddha-nature factors) – body, speech, mind, good qualities and enlightening influence (activities). Through the practice of the tantras associated with each family (caste) of figures, one can transform the basic aspects of these five into the resultant features of a Buddha.
