Eight minor Kagyu traditions

The eight traditions of Dagpo Kagyu that derived from direct disciples of Gampopa's disciple Pagmodrupa (Phag-mo gru-pa rDo-rje rgyal-po) (1110-1170): (1) Drigung Kagyu ('bri-gung bka'-brgyud), (2) Taglung Kagyu (stag-lung bka'-brgyud), (3) Lingre Kagyu (gling-ras bka'-brgyud), later called Drugpa Kagyu ('brug-pa bka'-brgyud), (4) Yasang Kagyu (g.ya'-bzang bka'-brgyud), (5) Tropu Kagyu (khro-phu bka'-brgyud), (6) Shugseb Kagyu (shug-gseb bka'-brgyud), (7) Yelpa kagyu (yel-pa bka'-brgyud) and (8) Martsang Kagyu (smar-tshang bka'-brgyud).
