The phase of a positive force, associated with a constructive action, that is an aftermath on one's mental continuum after having committed that action. It ripens either(1) intermittently into transitory samsaric happiness or (2) into the Form Bodies of a Buddha, depending on whether it is built up without or with labored bodhichitta and dedication to enlightenment. The former positive potential may be called "karmic" and the latter "enlightenment-building."
