Specific and deep awareness

In the Karma Kagyu system, a lineage of teachings deriving from the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje (Karma-pa Rang-'byung rdo-rje) concerning the inseparability, like milk mixed with water, of two levels of awareness. Specific awareness of primary consciousness and its objects and the five types of deep awareness (mirror-like and so on). Both arise dependently together from mind-itself.
