Berzin Archives Year End Report 2007

As 2007 is about to end, I would like to thank our team and patrons for all the help you have given to our common project. Without you and all the help you have given, individually and collectively, Berzin Archives would not be what it is now.

I would like to share with you some of the successes that we have achieved so far with your help. Up to now, we have 90 team members! Our English section totals over 720 individual articles, with 132 audio files and 138 audio podcast files. In March 2007, we went online with our new format, which includes the German site – now containing nearly 300 individual articles – and the English-Tibetan-Sanskrit-German glossary of 1200 technical terms. The Russian section will hopefully go online early next year with 57 articles, as will our Tibetan-Western date conversion tool. Over the last few years, we have translated 78 articles into Portuguese, 60 into Spanish, 58 into Polish, 32 into French, 28 into Mongolian, 18 into Italian, 16 into Chinese, and 8 into Vietnamese. Work is now beginning on the Turkish section. The average daily number of visitors, not counting visits from search engines, rose this year from 785 in January-February to 1380 in November-December. I think the popularity of our website is really something that we can all be proud of and rejoice in!
