The Four Buddhist Tenet Systems Regarding the Two Truths

The two truths in the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika systems refer to two different types of true phenomena. Chittamatra and Madhyamaka assert that the two truths share the same essential nature and thus refer to the same phenomenon from two points of view. The superficial or surface truth of something is its mode of appearance; its deepest truth is its mode of existence.
