Spiritual Teachers and Spiritual Students

There is a difference between how Tibetan students, both in Tibet and in exile, and Western students approach and study the Dharma. What is common between them is that the most committed type of spiritual seeker is a disciple of a spiritual mentor. What type of convictions and understandings are necessary for a disciple-mentor relationship? These articles explore this and also explain the different types of spiritual mentors – guru, tulku, lama, rinpoche, khenpo or geshe. Whatever their title is, ultimately, spiritual mentors lead disciples to liberation and enlightenment.
