Audio category

Redirected from Sound universal

The static, conceptual category of the sound of a word or name, in which the sound of all individual pronunciations of the word or name fit, regardless of the voice, volume, or pronunciation with which it is spoken. Technically, it is a mental exclusion of what is other (blo'i gzhan-sel), an implicative negation phenomenon (ma-yin-dgag) that excludes or cuts off everything that does not fit in the category.
