In Kagyu mahamudra, an empowerment conferred by a specially qualified master on a specially qualified disciple, in which the disciple receives the inspiration of the realizations of all the lineage masters so as to attain realization of mind-itself, essence mahamudra, and thereby achieve simultaneous realization and liberation.
