“Engaging in Bodhisattva Behavior” is a classic, practice-oriented text for the development of bodhichitta, a heart dedicated to achieving enlightenment for the benefit of all limited beings. The first chapter discusses the benefits of developing a bodhichitta aim. The second and third elaborate on the seven-limb prayer and maintaining care to safeguard our development of bodhichitta and not to stray from it. This is followed by chapters on patience, perseverance, concentration, and discriminating awareness (wisdom) concerning the two truths and, specifically, concerning the deepest truth, voidness (emptiness). The final chapter is the prayer of dedication of the positive force built up by these practices to the elimination of every type of suffering that limited beings experience.
