Commentary on “Parting from the Four Clingings” – Dezhung Rinpoche

Other languages
The teachings of “parting from the four clingings” derives from a verse given by Manjushri in a pure vision to Sachen Kunga Nyingpo, the 12th-century patriarch of the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It encapsulates, in four short lines, the entire graded path to enlightenment. Dezhung Rinpoche, one of the greatest 20th-century Sakya masters, elaborates here on a text to use for discourse on this verse, written by Gorampa, the 15th-century author of the main commentarial literature of the Sakya line.
