A phenomenon that continually changes (a nonstatic phenomenon) and which influences other nonstatic phenomena to arise, in the sense that it contributes to causing them to happen. Although affecting variables include all nonstatic phenomena, only the mental factors, other than distinguishing and feeling a level of happiness, and those that are neither forms of physical phenomena nor ways of being aware of something are included in the aggregate of other affecting variables.
