Single-pointedness

In the context of the nine stages of settling the mind into a state of shamatha, the eighth stage. Here, by just relying on a slight effort to apply mindfulness at the beginning of the session, one is able to sustain one's concentration uninterruptedly throughout the session, without experiencing any level of flightiness of mind or mental dullness.
