As 2015 draws to a close, let me share with you some of the exciting developments of the past year.

We have started work on an updated new version of the website. For this, we have developed a beta version containing a limited amount of reworked material, just in English to start with. We have been using this version to test the new structure, design solutions and additional features. The beta version contains only 1% of the material, but there will be much more as we develop the project.

Here are some of the things we’ve accomplished so far:

• We’ve restructured the materials to make the user experience more intuitive

• Created a new section for beginners, Buddhism in Daily Life, with short and easy to read pieces for both the Buddhist and non-Buddhist audiences

• Found the missing gaps in our topics and prepared new materials

• Produced guided meditations to give a solid introduction to Buddhist practice

• Enhanced mobile experience of the site, so that tablet users, for instance, are now spending 5 times longer on the site and spending 3 times longer on each page

• Started lively debates on our Facebook page, with a few hundred people joining in already.

Here’s what we’re planning to do in the coming year as we fill out the site with the rest of our material:

• Focus on providing a guided study experience

• Add more advanced material

• Produce new video content

• Provide more topics to enrich the reading experience.

We look forward to sharing with you all the exciting developments as they unfold. Thanks for all your continuing support. All of us at Berzin Archives wish you a healthy and happy new year.
