At the close of our thirteenth year online, I wish to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your kind support in making the Berzin Archives available free of charge to the world. With over 2 million visits, 1.5 million people have benefited from our materials this past year The wisdom of Tibet has reached almost all corners of the earth, from Greenland to Zimbabwe to Papua New Guinea. People in Tibet are now able to access online Buddha’s teachings in their own language. With the addition of our Farsi and West Punjabi sections, people in Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan now have access to His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s message of interreligious harmony and peace. More than 70% of our readers are using the non-English language sections, and we’re happy to become a source of education around the world about Buddhist science, psychology and religion in accord with His Holiness’ wishes.

This year we published 1026 articles, 93 audios and 21 videos in 21 language sections. We have increased our content by 18.2%. Throughout the year, our technical team has been working on improving the infrastructure of Berzin Archives, to help improve the efficiency of our operations. Currently, we are working on optimizing our workflow management system, internal processes and financial management system.

We’re excited to share with you some of our plans for the coming year. We have redesigned the multilingual Buddhist glossary used by all our translation teams. Very soon we shall make this glossary available online so that readers in all our languages will be able to gain more from the translations they use.

Buddha’s use of skillful means to adapt his teachings to different audiences instructs us to update our presentation of these teachings to suit the changing times and culture. Therefore, we’re happy to announce the upcoming launch of a beta version of a newly redesigned Berzin Archives website in the spring of 2015. With it, we hope to provide a more user-friendly platform, with easier navigation and available on every device.

There are many more new features that we’re planning to develop and add. To accomplish them all, we need your help and support. As you know, we sustain the work of Berzin Archives with donations from people who find our material helpful. Therefore I wish to thank you personally for all your continuing support. All of us at Berzin Archives wish you a healthy and happy new year.
