Kalachakra: The Four Creative Drops

Kalachakra uniquely analyzes the causes preventing the attainment of liberation and enlightenment in terms of karmic energy-winds and four creative energy-drops. As the karmic energy-winds course through the subtle energy-channels of the subtle body, they pass through one or another of these four creative energy-drops, located in chakras. These energy-drops are imbued with the stains of the karmic constant habits. These karmic constant habits give rise to appearances of self-established existence. Passing through them, the karmic energy-winds produce the mental holograms that are the deceptive appearances of the four occasions: the awake, dream, deep sleep and so-called “fourth” occasions.
