According to the Sautrantika presentation, fresh, nonfallacious bare cognition in the mental continuum of an arya, while in a non-conceptual state of total absorption, focused on either subtle impermanence or the coarse or subtle selflessness of persons, and which arises from the joined pair of shamatha and vipashyana as its dominating condition.
