One of the three higher trainings. Meditation practice to attain the discriminating awareness of the selflessness of persons, motivated by the determination to be free (renunciation) in order to attain liberation, or the discriminating awareness of all phenomena (emptiness, voidness), motivated by the determination to be free plus bodhichitta in order to attain enlightenment.
