Buddha family-traits

(1) The two types of traits or features – evolving family-traits and abiding family traits – of all who can become a Buddha. According to the Gelug Prasangika system, (a) evolving family-traits are those that can grow to transform into the non-static Buddha Bodies and (b) abiding family-traits are those that allow for the attainment of the static Buddha Bodies. (2) The actual nature of the mind when tarnished by fleeting stains, equivalent to Essential factor for a Blissfully Gone One, Essential factor for a Thusly Gone One and Buddha-nature source.
