Existence established by something being an ultimate phenomenon (don-dam-pa), either in the sense of having existence established by an individual defining characteristic mark or in the sense of being an object that appears to an arya's total absorption. Equivalent to truly established existence, (1) in the Jetsunpa textbook tradition of the Sautrantika system, it refers to objective entities; (2) in the Chittamatra system, it refers to dependent phenomena and thoroughly established phenomena.
